Victoria Beckham for Target Tea Party
On Saturday, April 1 my family and I were invited to a party in Bel-Air (ooh, fancy) to celebrate the latest designer collection at Target, this time by Victoria Beckham. I hadn't been to a fashion-scene party like this in a looong time. We had so much fun!
First of all, the estate where the party was held turned out to belong to the Hadid family. As in Gigi and Bella. So it was crazy beautiful. Swans in a pond at the entrance. Topiaries, fountains, an insane infinity pool that overlooked a gorgeous view of Los Angeles. And, you know, a mermaid who lounged by the pool most of the time.
The party started at 3 pm and went until 6 pm. We didn't want to leave! There was a flower crown bar. An Easter bunny mask-making station. Another station where we made topiary necklaces. Candy cane sticks grew out of trees. There was a candy bar stocked with pink and white confections, including pink Swedish fish.
Thankfully, a selection of the Victoria Beckham for Target collection was available for purchase. I bought an awesome shirtdress and mint green lace bomber jacket for me, and then a beautiful pink and black flower shift dress and clear raincoat with flower trim for my 7-year-old niece. She's going to flip!
My husband, son and I ended up taking residence in a settee by the pool. We enjoyed the snacks (mini fish and chips, pulled pork sliders) and drinks (Pimm's Cups, champagne). They even had a mocktail bar for the kiddos. My son flirted with the semi-famous deejays (a set of gorgeous twins who gave him a big hug at the end), and we made some new friends, though they weren't any of the Beckham children, some of whom were in attendance. We didn't want to leave! They actually had to kick us out!
